Bank holiday weekend (June 2005) saw British Taekwondo Control Board
(B.T.C.B.) Gibraltar receive a visit from the B.T.C.B. General
secretary, Master Neil Guest (6th Dan) and his Assistant Secretary Mrs.
Louise Guest (3rd Dan). Mrs. Guest is a former UK Patterns
Champion.
A seminar was held Saturday 4th June where the latest techniques were
taught to seniors and juniors attending. Sunday 5th June black belt
gradings were held with the following results:

Master Neil Guest commented on the extremely high standards
attained, as all who took part passed their examinations. A special
mention was made of Lorena Garcia who, at 9 years of age, is the
youngest competitor to have attained the 1st Poom. All the club and
her family are extremely proud of her. Dean Chipolina made such an
impression on the visitors that arrangements are in process for him to
train with the UK Taekwondo who regularly take part in international
competitions such as the Olympic Games and World Championships.
B.T.C.B. Gibraltar is currently looking for a sponsor for Mr.

On Monday 6th June an International Instructor course, sponsored by UK
Sports Council as the governing body for Taekwondo in the UK, was held
and as a result B.T.C.B. Gibraltar now has seven certified and insured
International Instructors, these are:
