On Saturday 8th October 2011, a Martial Arts Festival was held to celebrate Charlie Conroy’s 50 years dedicated to Martial Arts. Hundreds of martial artists of all ages from the very young to the “most experienced” performed to pay tribute to Professor Charles Conroy 6th Dan Judo, 7th Dan Ju Jitsu.

- Kick-Boxing-Jitsu (Blackburn Club, UK)
- Ju-Jitsu (Budo-Kai Gibraltar)
- Gen-Jitsu (UK)
- Mixed Martial Arts (Gibraltar)
- Sokudo (UK)
- Capoeira (AIM Centre)
- Kempo Ju-Jitsu (UK)
- Gibraltar Shoto-kai Karate Association

Sports Minister Edwin Reyes welcomed all to the Tercentenary Hall – most local Clubs were present as well as a strong contingent of a variety of Clubs and styles of Martial Arts.

Masters Edward and Ernest Garcia together with the Gibraltar Taekwondo Association would like to congratulate Professor Charlie Conroy for so many years of dedication to Martial Arts and hope to continue for many more years to come.
