In December 2002, Douglas Colombo, Frederick Martin, Ernest Garcia and Edward Garcia, from the British Taekwondo Control Board Gibraltar (affiliated to the British Taekwondo Control Board; B.T.C.B.), attended a Masters Seminar held by the B.T.C.B. at Nottingham, UK. The seminar consisted of various aspects of Taekwondo including self-defence, sparring, destruction techniques and patterns.

A promotion board was carried out by Grandmaster Park Soo Nam, 8th Dan; President of the B.T.C.B. and deputy Secretary General of the World Taekwondo Federation, Master Ian Lennox (6th Dan) and Master Ian Tranter (5th Dan); vice chairman of the B.T.C.B. - Ernest Garcia successfully passed his 3rd Dan examination.

Hector Sodi and Clive Moreno had attended a previous seminar at which Clive Moreno passed his 3rd Dan at Glasgow in September.
