Active members of the Gibraltar Taekwondo Association, under the
leadership of Ernest and Edward Garcia, have been especially busy over
recent weeks - planning out their first Gibraltar Trophy National Week
Championships as well as raising money for the refurbishment of the gym.
The Youth Centre Weight Lifting Section and the G.T.A. recently raised
£600 towards the cost of refurbishing the Gym with cupboards, water
heater, painting, flooring and lighting. £4,500 has been raised for the
gym. Over the past 25 years, the Youth Centre Sports section has grown
to 220 members and the partnership with Aaron Caballero wish to thank
all who have helped with the work, especially Michael Gerada and Joseph
Trinidad. A very worthwhile case of charity beginning at home.
